Discuss, don't refute
[edit]I looked over the article. It is much improved from the last time I read it. Kudos to all who worked on it. However I don't think it's ready for GA yet. It doesn't have that encyclopedic feel to it. The article spends a lot of time refuting the claim, and very little time discussing the claim. Perhaps a paragraph in the beginning which mentions the origins of this canard and provides some historic context for it. (To be clear I'm not asking for it to be defended, I'm asking for it to be discussed). --Bachrach44 (talk) 02:01, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
