Article update

[edit]

toobigtokale, I see (from WP:CFDS) that you have been uodating the article, so hopefully you know more about the subject than I do. The article names Ju Sigyeong as founder, but his article says Ju Sigyeong established the Korean Language System Society (조선문동식회; 朝鮮文同式會) in 1886 along with several of his colleagues.[1] I checked the source via archive.org and it is confusing, but JS is unlikely to have founded a society in 1886, when he was ten. The source also mentions JS founding the society in 1908.

On categories I would add JS to Category:Korean Language Society people and leave the name unchanged. I would change Category:Korean Language Society incident to Category:Korean Language Society incident people, which could be a subcategory of Category:Korean Language Society people. Currently there is a lot of overlap between the people category and the incident category.

Hi, I think your proposal makes sense. I'll try to give the article a once over tomorrow. I mostly just worked on the category. I actually only know high level things about this topic, so will need to read into it. toobigtokale (talk) 12:39, 26 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
