A question

[edit]

Sorry for posting this, but why does this station broadcast only 8 hours a day? Rmaster1200 (talk) 17:00, 13 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Most likely it broadcasts only at the times that viewers are likely to have electricity. The DPRK has long had severe power shortages, especially outside of Pyongyang, and the power is usually on only for a few hours each day. —Psychonaut (talk) 17:52, 13 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
You can also read Media of North Korea, Rmaster1200, which also explains how the sovereign state controls the media. --George Ho (talk) 06:57, 14 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Music used in KCTV

[edit]

I've been rather curious about something. Who composes the music that plays during testcards and in the background of weather reports like this? I've tried looking around, but to no avail. If there's something I'm missing, let me know. 75.139.126.10 (talk) 18:41, 7 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This is a long time responding but in general, movies and TV shows on the channel do not have credits on them. Foreign media like the Russian movie Seventh Bullet are shown edited with the credits removed as well. I would believe it probably has some ideological reason for it, that it takes away from the reverence shown to the Leader/ Juche ideology or something.--Mr. 123453334 (talk) 05:44, 8 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Uriminzokkiri YouTube channel taken down, new official channel is created

[edit]

Hello, it seems that one of the "external links" is no longer working, it is the YouTube channel called Uriminzokkri. The channel was terminated by YouTube "due to a legal complaint". This is the channel that was taken down. http://youtube.com/user/uriminzokkiri

But then three weeks ago, Uriminzokkri opened another YouTube channel and continues to upload videos. This is the channek: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCp6AkyfN3ooSvmXl9L4Nfcg/videos

The proof of this channel being actually owned by Uriminzokkri themselves is by clicking on YouTube video links on their website: http://uriminzokkiri.com/

Problem is, I am unable to replace the old link with the new channel for some reason, without problems that is.

Is anyone able to help with that? Thanks.

Broadcast times on 1990s

[edit]

When I was watching this video I saw that the broadcast starts at 8:00 a.m. but there's no information of why the broadcast started at 8:00 a.m. because as I know that the broadcasts normally starts at 3:00 p.m. on weekdays and on 9:00 a.m. on weekends.
