No region(s) in the internationally recognised borders of Croatia could be said in an encyclopedia that they were 'defended' by an occupying army with support from Belgrade. It is customary to use words like "occupy," "held," "seized," etc. This is like saying after the Occupation of Poland (1939–1945), that the Germans were "defending" it after the Poles fought back. Therfore, it would not be appropriate unless you are Milan Martic to say Kordun was "defended". --Jesuislafete (talk) 03:32, 7 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A note that Military Frontier had a Serb majority

[edit]

Please see here http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Military_Frontier#Population If you don't like it, please change that piece of information there before removing it from this article. I find the information relevant, for historic context, and to tone down the bias. This is EN article, not a HR one, after all. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 8bUxcfux5n (talkcontribs) 01:13, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Oh dear, where do I even begin? First off, in case you have not noticed, those figures have no sources, and you are trying to pass them off as so. Secondly, "42%" is not a majority--look up the word in a dictionary. Thirdly, a mere 7% difference from 42% to 35% is not substantial. Lastly, which perhaps I should have mentioned first off to end this argument, are you seriously trying to use use unsourced population figures of the ENTIRE Military Frontier to support your precarious claims for the region of KORDUN?? Please, do not make me laugh any more. --Jesuislafete (talk) 21:12, 24 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
My hat's off to you, Sir, your argument is impeccable. However, surely you must admit the article as it is now is somewhat missing, when it comes to those pesky godawful vermin, the Serbs. You see, it feels as if they landed from Mars back in 1991. just to kill everyone - and that's it. (?!) Nothing before, nothing after that ever happened? I shall make it a task of mine to enrich this page with some historical reference, time permitting of course. I sincerely hope you will at all times be there for me, to kindly show me the error of my ways. Much love, 8bUxcfux5n —Preceding unsigned comment added by 8bUxcfux5n (talkcontribs) 21:35, 24 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I beseech you to please look at Wikipedia's rules and policies, especially Contributing to Wikipedia and Wikipedia's five pillars. Your attitude and edits fall out of what Wikipedia is all about. I must remind you, that Wikipedia is an encyclopedic page, and while everyone is welcome to edit, you need to comply by the rules and be serious and respectful towards the articles and others. Please assume Good faith while editing. To address your claims, I do not have an alternate agenda, yet I must question yours. You have made a total of 5 edits on Wikipedia, all on Kordun, while I have a more broad spectrum of edits and have been around longer to know the rules and ways of editing. Please do not change the article without discussing edits in the Discussion page. --Jesuislafete (talk) 02:27, 25 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Most dearest Sir, I am more than happy to comply with your wise guidance, and have read the aforementioned pages with utmost attention. May I express my grievances here for you not liking me? To hear you disliking my attitude wreaks havoc in my heart.. I have nothing but utmost respect and total love for you, and I dream of the day when you will whole-heartedly approve of my edits. Now, I have absolutely no doubts about my good faith! You questioning my intentions by pointing to the fact that I am new to this game, while you are an old hand frankly baffles me, but it must be a translation thing. Anyways, my goal is to incorporate Kordun related data from these two pages: http://sr.wikipedia.org/sr-el/%D0%9D%D0%B0_%D0%9A%D0%BE%D1%80%D0%B4%D1%83%D0%BD%D1%83_%D0%B3%D1%80%D0%BE%D0%B1_%D0%B4%D0%BE_%D0%B3%D1%80%D0%BE%D0%B1%D0%B0

and http://sr.wikipedia.org/sr-el/%D0%A5%D1%80%D0%BE%D0%BD%D0%BE%D0%BB%D0%BE%D0%B3%D0%B8%D1%98%D0%B0_%D0%B3%D0%B5%D0%BD%D0%BE%D1%86%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B0_%D0%BD%D0%B0%D0%B4_%D0%A1%D1%80%D0%B1%D0%B8%D0%BC%D0%B0_%D1%83_%D0%94%D1%80%D1%83%D0%B3%D0%BE%D0%BC_%D1%81%D0%B2%D1%98%D0%B5%D1%82%D1%81%D0%BA%D0%BE%D0%BC_%D1%80%D0%B0%D1%82%D1%83 to begin with, for the reason of them being true. And if by chance they are not - waste not, but quickly edit those two lies disseminating pages. What say you? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 8bUxcfux5n (talkcontribs) 20:01, 26 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

To tell you the truth, I have come to the conclusion that you are a troll and do not seriously want to edit pages to the best of their ability, but to start a fight. I have chosen not to engage in your trolling war; I made a rule to myself never to involve myself in Wiki wars again. Once again, I direct you to the Wikipedia links I have posted previously for you to please read, so that you know that you cannot use other Wikipedia pages, especially in a foreign language, as a reference. Not that I believe those pages you put are meant to be references, just a bizarre attempt to express your frustrations at myself and Croatia in general. It's not working--I have seen this tactic far too many times by many Croats and Serbs using past wars and crimes to try to see who is the bigger, badder villain. I thank you for using the discussion page in an attempt to discuss. I wish to remind you once again to check out the pages above if you are serious about editing Wikipedia. --Jesuislafete (talk) 19:14, 29 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you most kindly for your reply, I appreciate your friendly tone. I assure you I am not a troll, perhaps you are too quickly forming a conclusion on that. I use wikipedia daily, feel immensely grateful for its existence, and I would like to contribute. For starters, I don't feel like I can be of help on, say, GNU/Linux or American pop culture, but I do know a thing or two about my immediate surroundings. So my goal is to contribute to some ex-Yu pages I find to be POV or selective in their presentation of facts. I also believe putting the complete truth out there is beneficial to the English speaking reader, and hopefully even some local chauvinists will eventually find the presented facts sobering. I honestly believe in 'the truth will set you free' adage. And I find omitting 'inconvenient facts' to be fueling fear and hatred in the harts of the members of the opposing tribe. Also, the complete truth leaves no place for hot-heads to creatively 're-construct' parts they 'feel' were omitted in the abridged version. As for proposed edits, I understand it's not good to use other wiki pages as reference because of the circular thing. Not a problem, I'll use the same references the chronology article uses: http://pavelic-papers.com/timeline/ndhtimeline.html and http://www.reformation.org/holoc5.html . What say you? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 8bUxcfux5n (talkcontribs) 00:21, 31 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Please keep discussion focused on the article Kordun. --Jesuislafete (talk) 06:20, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
May I include Kordun related data from these two sources: http://pavelic-papers.com/timeline/ndhtimeline.html and http://www.reformation.org/holoc5.html ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 8bUxcfux5n (talkcontribs) 17:18, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
From what I could see, neither of those sites are encyclopedic. Plus, I still don't see any statistical sources of population figures. In my opinion, a region as small as this would have difficulty finding a lot of data like that. I would concentrate on city/town pages themselves for this sort of data. A lot of that has already been done (e.g. Karlovac). --Jesuislafete (talk) 06:44, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
