Just a note that, while certainly the name-origin and the fact that the area(s) in question were/are part of the traditional territory of the Ktunaxa, the particlar Kootenai (tribe) link is to the US-side band organization; there is at present (not yet anyway...I've been busy elsewhere]] article/stub on Ktunaxa as a people, as the page in question is, as said, a tribal organization. The Ktunaxa Kinbasket Tribal Council, which I think I made the stub for, is the tribal council for the Ktunaxa, and actually includes the US bands, including the one described/focused on in Kootenai (tribe); but ultimately, when it's made, the primary link here should be simply Ktunaxa; I'll try and get to it later tonight unless someone else would care to oblige (based on content at Secwepemc, St'at'imc, Nlaka'pamux etc.)Skookum123:19, 30 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
