Hello fellow Wikipedians,

Merge with MillerKnoll?

[edit]

Knoll is now a subsidiary of Herman Miller (which is now called MillerKnoll). Should the two be merged at some point in future? I'm pretty new to WP editing and don't yet have the technical skills to take this on, but I'd be glad to help with the writing and sourcing. (I'll put a similar message on MillerKnoll talk page.) (See discussion re: "MillerKnoll" vs. "Herman Miller" which seems to supersede comments above.)

Notable designers?

[edit]

There are two people listed in the "Notable designers" section whose relevance here is questionable: Evan MacDonald "Before competing in the Olympics, Evan worked at the Knoll furniture company and helped design some of their products" is hardly justification for inclusion on this list; Charles Pfister has no apparent relation to Knoll (although perhaps this link is simply the wrong Charles Pfister). -- Cl3phact0 (talk) 06:19, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

PS: Confirmed, not the right Pfister (see: Knoll site). Removing link and creating redlink.

Lead

[edit]

Hello Historyofdesign, I thought that the inclusion of David Adjaye, Marc Newson, and Ini Archibong in the lead added a broader and more contemporary sense of the the company's reach and activity (rather than just the usual 20th c. heavyweights). The designs by these three are significant products for Knoll. Not sure why you appear to be set on trimming them. Cheers, Cl3phact0 (talk) 18:20, 27 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
