I've removed a few pieces of text which were written in something of a dramatic style intended to appeal to the emotions. Whilst that may be appropriate in certain contexts eg pathe Newsreels, it is inappropriate for an encyclopedia which aims to present facts. That is not to take away from the enormity of the disaster, clearly a tragedy which would have had a huge effect on the local community and, one imagines, echoes down to the present day. cheers Geopersona (talk) 11:17, 18 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The coordinates for the disaster location was closer to the centre of New Cumnock. I changed that to somewhere closer to the true location of the disaster. I hope somebody can make the coordinates even better to the location of the inrush.Imdashti (talk) 20:00, 25 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
