[edit]Is it possible to ask the Library system for a scan of the actual photo? This image wasn't descreened when it was scanned. Either that, or apply a slight gaussian blur to the image, to reduce the moire pattern. -- Zanimum (talk) 19:10, 14 December 2013 (UTC)
- That's a good idea, I'll fire off a request for a picture. Gamaliel (talk) 05:52, 17 December 2013 (UTC)

Will review. Taylor Trescott - my talk + my edits 03:29, 16 December 2013 (UTC)
- The lead should be expanded to at least a paragraph or two. Right now it's only two sentences, much too short for an article of this length.
- The "Early life and education" section should mention he was born in 1847.
- "He emigrated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin," you can wipe the second comma here
- "He married Maggie Cooper of Vermont." Do we know when?
- "In the library world, the news was "a great shock", Green wrote later in his history of the profession." - "Green wrote later that the news was "a great shock"." I think the current wording is a bit clumsy.
- "To date, Linderfelt has not appeared on the official list of past ALA Presidents." Should use the {{asof}} template here
On hold now. Taylor Trescott - my talk + my edits 01:02, 17 December 2013 (UTC)
- I found a date for his marriage, but it also complicated matters. The book Blood Passion names her as "Maggie Cooper" but doesn't specify the source for her full name or birthplace. It does cite the 1880 census for their address, etc., which I looked at via Heritage Quest to verify her name was "Maggie". The reason I checked there is because I found their marriage mentioned in the October 9, 1875 Milwaukee Daily Sentinel as taking place "Thursday evening last", which presumably was October 7. However, she is named there as "Margie E. Parker". All other references to her I've been able to find for her merely refer to her as "Mrs. Linderfelt" or "Mrs. M. E. Linderfelt". There is a "Margie E. Linderfelt" listed in Findagrave, but there's nothing to connect her other than the fact that she's around the right age. Not sure how to handle this situation, but I will keep digging for more information. Gamaliel (talk) 06:02, 17 December 2013 (UTC)
- @Gamaliel: Any luck yet? If you can't find one, that's alright and we can continue with the review. Taylor Trescott - my talk + my edits 20:18, 28 December 2013 (UTC)
- User:Taylor Trescott, I've put the sources I have found in the article, but I'm at the point now where I think we won't have a definitive answer to her maiden name without original research. Gamaliel (talk) 06:20, 29 December 2013 (UTC)
