Fair use rationale for Image:Kitty lonesomesad.jpg

[edit]

Image:Kitty lonesomesad.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 10:51, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Marriage

[edit]

Kitty Wells' marriage is one of the longest in show business history, but Art Linkletter's marriage since 1935 to date is arguably the longest on record.--12 September 2009 Susan Nunes —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.36.207.115 (talk) 00:39, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

As far as I can see (from Wikipedia's article on A.L.), Art Linkletter's wife (or now, widow) is not a celebrity, so this comment is pretty much irrelevant. --88.130.68.197 (talk) 10:55, 19 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Spelling?

[edit]

The section Music career mentions Johnnie Right and the Harmony Girls whereas the article on Johnnie Wright mentions Johnnie Wright and the Harmony Girls. What spelling is actually correct, with or without the ‘W’? I understand that the correct spelling of Kitty Wells' husband's name is Wright, but that doesn't necessarily mean it was used for the group's stage name with that spelling. --88.130.68.197 (talk) 11:05, 19 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Madison

[edit]

It became part of Nashiville in 1963. She may have actually been born and lived there her whole life. We need sources though. The only source I found says she was born and raised in the 'Nashville area' Thoughts?--Canoe1967 (talk) 13:59, 17 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Madison and Nashville would probably both like to claim her as their own. Can we find out when she moved? Having which years she lived in both may avoid any future edits that try to POV it. All sources I have seen say she was born in Nashville or the area. I remember one saying her and her husband moved to a Madison home (studio?) soon after their marriage. She may have actually been born in Madison but it is so close that many may claim Nashville.--Canoe1967 (talk) 03:43, 19 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Too much quote, and ... the part that was edied conflicts with the source.

[edit]

"It Wasn't God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels," a response to Hank Thompson's "The Wild Side of Life." Its controversial pre-feminist lyrics, which blamed unfaithful men for creating unfaithful women, paved the way for Loretta Lynn and Tammy Wynette and established Wells as the first major female country star. Wells recorded a number of answer songs and remakes, but she has top-notch original material as well, including some of Harlan Howard's earliest hits." is too much quoted...from [1], I doubt that Stephen Thomas Erlewine would want his work quoted that much here... also, the summary was simply wrong where it was edited. I don't know that this is long enough to cause copyright problems, but it is counter to wp:pillars, and needs work. User talk:Unfriend12 22:06, 15 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe it is enough different? *shrug* User talk:Unfriend12 22:10, 15 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
