Category question[edit]

In the film, one of Poppy's execution methods on her failed underlings is forcing them in a meat grinder. She then makes a hamburger out of the ground thug and makes an initiated member eat it. As such, should this film be categorized as a cannibal film? - Areaseven (talk) 12:42, 21 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

No. It's not about cannibalism or long plots of the plot being about the subject - this was a one-off/"mob tactic" sort of scene.

Article needs correction.[edit]

There is an error in the plot summary. The summary states that Eggsy's friend Brandon accidentally launched the missiles that destroyed Kingsman, as Brandon was also killed in the attack. This is not the case. The attack was launched by Poppy Adams, using the information Charlie's cyborg arm gained.

How come you didn't edit it out? - Areaseven (talk) 03:55, 23 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I would have, but I had just joined and the article is semi-protected, My account is too new to have done it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:6c40:7a00:3636:504e:c3d2:1acf:fba4 (talk) 20:54, 24 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

‎Cast: Hanna Alström as Crown Princess Tilde of Sweden, Eggsy's girlfriend[edit]

The consensus is to include in the cast list only the character names and the actor names. The consensus is to exclude in the cast list the relationship between characters.

I see no reason to remove that Tilde of Sweden is "Eggsy's girlfriend", we have the Fox is chief of staff. There is no valid Wikipedia rule demanding that relationships between characters be removed from character lists. The person removing the information says that the information can be found in the text of the article, but the whole list can be found in the text of the article. We have lists to aid in identifying character and actors easily. --RAN (talk) 17:16, 4 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Here's the simple answer: It's redundant. And you already answered your own question with your last sentence. - Areaseven (talk) 11:47, 5 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Can cast lists for movies and plays and books, contain short descriptions of the relationships between the characters? For instance "Hanna Alström as Crown Princess Tilde of Sweden, Eggsy's girlfriend ". --RAN (talk) 14:18, 5 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

No! only the character names and the actor names[edit]

Yes! add the character, the actor, and the relationship between characters[edit]

  • Sometimes the relationships of the characters are more obvious than their names. This aids the reader in finding the actor's name and finding their character's name when the relationship is known. The whole point of the list is to make finding the information as easy and quickly as possible. No one wants to read through multiple paragraphs of text to see if the information is contained there. Some movie articles contain a several sentence description of each character in the cast section such as Star Wars (film) and others. --RAN (talk) 14:24, 5 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: The spellings are equivalent, see WP:ENGVAR. Eggishorn (talk) (contrib) 23:40, 5 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

American English[edit]

The article was started and maintained in American English (and in part still is). This edit : https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Kingsman:_The_Golden_Circle&oldid=801542125 was the first to accidentally change, so I'm reverting it. This is a Dual-Nationality film, so it can go either way, so default to the original spelling variant. Sanbear (talk) 23:22, 10 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

spavined[edit]

The "Critical response" section includes "the pacing is so spavined;" and spavined links to Bone spavin. Reasonable to change that spavined link to wiktionary? (spavined) Seems unclear which definition Glenn Kenny meant, but seems more likely he meant definition 2 ("Old, worn out, obsolete"). --EarthFurst (talk) 09:30, 3 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
