Written Like an Advertisement

[edit]

This page should probably get the banner which reads "This page is written like an advertisement", since there are many qualitative statements like "burns better than ever". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.230.177.190 (talk) 14:44, 23 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I need some help here

[edit]
  • A few things: how do you cite sources, and does anyone have a photo of the Kingsford logo that can be uploaded without violating rules (I'm not big on BBQing, therefore I have no use for charcoal.) ??? WizardDuck 16:52, 5 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Coal

[edit]

Is it true that there is anthracite coal mixed with ground wood in Kingsford's charcoal? Isn't there mercury in coal? Badagnani (talk) 04:39, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Kingsford Updates

[edit]

I work for the public relations agency that represents Kingsford charcoal and would love to help out the Wikipedia community with some primary and secondary sources/information to update the Kingsford charcoal page. Please let me know if you would like me to share official brand materials/info/images! Briggsbl (talk) 17:26, 16 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,and welcome to Wikipedia. You might find reading Wikipedia:Conflict of interest to be useful here. WP is very concerned about "spam" in its many forms and WP:COI is taken seriously. Thanks for posting to this talk page, and for doing it before other edits - that's just the way to proceed without a few of the more hair-trigger editors reacting adversely. If you take a look through the relevant bits of WP:COI, it should point you in the right direction.
As to images and logos, then Wikimedia Commons is often the best place to upload photos of historical or technical interest, however this does mean licensing them under a free licence such as CC-by-sa - that might not be acceptable in a commercial context, almost certainly not for logos, trademarks etc. For those Wikipedia is probably better - in particular, using "Fair use" provision. You might even need to look into WP:OTRS, for how an owner's permission for use is recorded.
Any questions otherwise, please ask. Andy Dingley (talk) 17:47, 16 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Written by an 8-year-old?

[edit]

The grammar and syntax are deplorable in the "History" section. Was this written by a child? Fix it, you fools! 56.0.143.23 (talk) 15:26, 21 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Being wiki, it may have well been...this whole thing is like some school project written by a team of grad school kids. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:801:300:7520:3847:F6E8:A9CB:7FDE (talk) 05:32, 30 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
