Merge?
[edit]I have merged Kings Park Soccer Stadium into King Senzangakhona Stadium already. Possibly a merge into that article? Or a merge of all of them into a new Kings Park Sporting Precinct? GetDownAdam 17:51, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
What's going on?
[edit]The speedy deletion template was removed and Manning Rangers found a home. Now I'm just interested in finding some concrete evidence that Chatsworth Stadium was the stadium in Kings Park. GetDownAdam (talk) 15:33, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
I'm happy
[edit]I don't know about anyone else who feels they can blindly edit wiki articles, but I'm now satisfied that Chatsworth Stadium is not Kings Park Stadium, but instead this is a mistake on a website somewhere which people have been using and not referencing. For the following reasons this article needs a serious makeover
- Chatsworth is a 'suburb' of Durban, a number of kilometres from the site of Kings Park Sporting Precinct, the old Kings Park Soccer Stadium, or the new Moses Mabhida Stadium.
- Because the Manning Rangers article is unsubstantiated, I'm not even sure that Chatsworth was their home stadium.
The following sites clearly show the ambiguity of the situation
- [1] lists ABSA Stadium, Kings Park Soccer Stadium and Chatsworth Stadium.
- [2] shows the stadium in Chatsworth, clearly different from the Kings Park area due to the netball and tennis courts
- [3] Shows the location as Chatsworth, not Kings Park or Durban.
- [4] uses Wikipedia as a source, wrongly stating that Chatsworth Stadium is under 500m from Kings Park (Rugby Stadium)
Any comments?
