Prose

  • This sentence is a bit confusing: "Drop Points, which are earned by defeating enemies and completing optional objectives, can be spent on bonuses that can be used by the next until their next drop, such as a slower Drop Gauge or increased attack or defense, with leftover Drop Points converted to Munny."
  • The word "various" is used a lot.
  • Another awkward sentence: "Nomura also anticipated the longest cutscene from the entire series as he wanted to reveal the intentions from the antagonists Xemnas and Ansem, also emphasizing the importance of Axel and the young Xehanort, unidentified by that of the announcement, in the story."
  • Can the music section become a subsection of Development? It's kind of small.
  • What does this mean?: "The game debuted at the top of Media Create's sales charts, selling 213,579 copies during its first week, which is the equivalent to the 64% of Stock."

Coverage

  • The Gameplay section is just a touch too long and detailed. Can it be trimmed a bit? Not every action in the game needs to be spelled out in such detail.
  • The Setting section begins with "Dream Drop Distance is a continuation of the events shown in the epilogue of Kingdom Hearts Re:coded." Can you give just a sentence or two about those events?
  • Terra, Aqua, and Venta are mentioned at the beginning of the Story section. Who are they? Assume the readers are completely unfamiliar with Kingdom Hearts.
  • Reception should be expanded to include more opinions from reliable sources, especially in the West.
  • The Versions and Merchandise section can probably be cut out. Most of its info, like the release dates, can fit into Development. The prices of products are not particularly important. There is also a lot of Japanese characters, which isn't necessary.

References

  • No need for inlines in the lead or infobox.

Images

  • Can we get an image to illustrate gameplay?

Overall the article is decent. I went through and cleaned up some of the prose, but it still needs some work as listed above. — Mr. V (tc) 02:33, 4 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

@Vantine84: Hey, I'm not involved with this article, but I'm doing the review for the other Kingdom Hearts article at WP:GAN, and I was informed on that review that the nominator for this article has been inactive for a couple of months. You may want to check and see if someone at Wikipedia:WikiProject Square Enix would be willing to pick this one up and make the necessary revisions. Thanks, Red Phoenix build the future...remember the past... 17:58, 4 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
He did, I'll do this one too after I take care of yours. --PresN 19:02, 4 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Starting to get to this- did the Prose concerns. Pulled both the cutscene statement and the Stock statement; both are honestly just trivia (the Stock statement was saying that the game sold X number of copies in the first week, which was 64% of the number of copies that were shipped to stores. What does that percentage actually mean? Absolutely nothing. --PresN 21:33, 8 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Shortened the gameplay section by a bit; sorry for dropping this for a while. --PresN 20:27, 19 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Did the next two; only the reception and versions bullet points left. --PresN 19:10, 22 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Merged versions and merchandise into development, dropping some of the extraneous information, and added in a gameplay image. Sorry this is taking so long. --PresN 23:29, 4 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
And expanded the reception section, so that should be all of it. --PresN 23:48, 4 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Satisfied! — Mr. V (tc) 22:23, 5 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
