Until then we say there have been unconfirmed rumours. The Chosun Ilbo is sufficiently reliable enough to take note of its reporting while not taking it as final. The latest from this source is that "the fate of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's aunt Kim Kyong-hui is unclear" but she is presumably alive. There is not a black/white distinction here like the moon is made of green cheese versus the moon orbits the earth. There is a continuum here and Wikipedia editors are, or should be, astute enough to provide information with due allowance for this in the manner the info is presented. Understand that Wikipedia is not silent on the point here. Wikipedia is rather currently actively contradicting the rumours by stating without qualification the subject is alive. If that information could be inaccurate then the reader should be duly warned. If the subject is at least noted to be possibly ailing readers will have been advised as to the possibility the subject is already deceased.--Brian Dell (talk) 15:26, 8 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

And we've just had feverish media speculation about Kim Jong Un's "disappearance" that appeared to be nothing more than sick leave. These kind of rumours and hypotheses are considered newsworthy by reporters of North Korea, but Wikipedia is not news. I have removed all the speculation about Kim Kyong Hui's fate. This included that (a) she's been executed, (b) she's fallen out of favour, (c) she's sick, and (d) she's living in another country. There is nothing solid to support any of this. All we have are reports from outside sources that there have been no current pictures of her in the North Korean media since December. This means very little. I just don't know how many of these stories we should include - for example, this one:[1]? How these defectors are able to obtain intimate medical information is unexplained.
