Picture?
[edit]I really don't know anything about Kim Carnes, so I came to this page to see if she looked familiar... but there's no picture! Could someone add one? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.174.57.146 (talk) 21:17, 28 June 2009 (UTC)

As part of the New Christy Minstrels
[edit]One can go to amazon.com ("1962-1968: Hits and Highlights", [http://www.amazon.com/1962-68-Highlights-New-Christy-Minstrels/dp/B00000IJRF/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1283103301&sr=1-9] or the German version of wikipedia's article on Kim Carnes and see that she was part of the New Christy Minstrels, the famed folk group of the early '60's. This would be an important fact to add to this article. She herself completely seems to have avoided mention of this on her official website or on her myspace.com site. Her picture is clearly on the cover of one of the NCM's albums. I wonder what is up. Daniel Sparkman (talk) 17:23, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
That's probably where she knows Kenny Rogers from. They were in the Christies together, along with singer-turned-actress Karen Black.67.173.115.228 (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 19:34, 8 January 2016 (UTC)
Sugar Bears
[edit]She worked on this novelty record called "Presenting the Sugar Bears" in 1971 along with Mike Settle, Mitch Murray, Baker Knight and others. http://www.discogs.com/Sugar-Bears-Presenting-The-Sugar-Bears/release/2458863 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Xtian5 (talk • contribs) 01:29, 27 July 2014 (UTC)
dionne warwick's album "no night so long" was released in 1980, NOT in 1981!

Throat surgery
[edit]The rumor mill had it that she had to have nodes removed from her throat and or vocal cords. Her voice may have some appeal, but bad technique for effect can land one on the operating tablle, possibly, once upon a time, under the knife of one of my relatives.
However, if they are unavailable in the future, maybe, I will be qualified for the procedure. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2604:2000:EFC0:105:98B5:D856:C041:D47B (talk) 12:07, 19 December 2018 (UTC)
Needs a better image
[edit]Does anyone have an image in which she's performing, not decaying? 88.153.141.5 (talk) 20:57, 9 August 2019 (UTC)
Pre-solo career--"he" who?
[edit]Under the section "Pre-solo career," the article reads. "In 1966, she joined the folk group, The New Christy Minstrels, remaining with them until he embarked on a solo career." He who? Is this meant to say "she," or is it referring to someone from the New Christy Minstrels? I have no idea so I can't really fix it. Kronos o (talk) 02:29, 9 December 2024 (UTC)
