Previously known as Azam Colony, Khokhra Par was named after West Pakistan's governor general, General Azam Khan, it initially was a small town of immigrants settler (commonly known as Mohajirs) who migrated from central and north India after the partition of subcontinent in 1947, not a densely populated semi district of Malir Town.
