Closure reasons?
[edit]Why did this airport close?
- Money. A huge field in midtown ready for development (and mostly built-out by now). Retired electrician (talk) 20:38, 3 June 2024 (UTC)
"from 1950s to 2003 aerodrome was used only for ferrying of new Ilyushin aircraft"
[edit]This certainly was not the case in the 1970s and 1980s. I lived almost exactly between Tushino and Khodynka, and there were many daily flights of antique IL-14s to either of these fields and short hops between the two. It's merely 6 km between the edges of their runways, so these old, unpainted piston-engined aircraft were flying just above the rooftops. Retired electrician (talk) 20:38, 3 June 2024 (UTC)
