What's so special about this patch of forest?

[edit]

Looking at Google Maps I can see about 15 to 20 similar patches of forest at about the same distance from the center of Moscow, just outside the outer ring road. Is there something that makes this particular forest special and different from all the others? -- Petri Krohn (talk) 11:35, 29 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

What makes it so special is the conflict around it! It is similar to the conflict in Germany about Stuttgart 21 project which became a national issue. Olegwiki (talk) 10:46, 8 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Context

[edit]

I've tagged this with {{Recentism}}. It needs context about history before the M11. How did this forest originate? Was it all forest in this area, then gradually development chipped away the edges? Was any of it planted by people, etc.? Superm401 - Talk 00:21, 16 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
