Are Wikipedia articles current affairs/social commentary vessels?
[edit]Hi. Could interested editors please take a look at the section headed "Posthumous" in the Kevin Curran (cricketer) article, which has recently appeared, apparently in response to his passing. When I last checked, Wikipedia was not a vessel for social commentary (re: the Twitter quotes therein), or a current affairs channel. I am of the opinion that the section is inappropriate to the spirit of a Wikipedia article, and borders on celebratory rather than factual. I would like to leave the final decision on this to a person or persons who have previously been involved with the article and have a deeper knowledge of the subject. Thanks.
