The result of the move request was: (non-admin closure) Moved to Quaker State 400 (Kentucky) - consensus is that with a new race of this name in Atlanta, the title should be disambiguated. This addresses the concern of the nominator that people might believe the race was in Pennsylvania. power~enwiki (π, ν) 06:12, 31 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Quaker State 400NASCAR Cup races at Kentucky Speedway – While "Quaker State 400" was the official name of all of the NASCAR Cup Series races held at this venue, meaning it isn't a wholly unsuitable title for this article; the current title still has a glaring issue: Namely that "the Quaker State" is a commonly used name for the state of Pennsylvania, making the current title highly unintuitive for the name of a race held in Kentucky. It is therefore reasonable to assume that someone searching for this article would see this article's title as a search engine result, assume that it referred to a race held in Pennsylvania (probably at Pocono Raceway), and not click on the result. Since no NASCAR Cup Series races were held at this venue other than the ones detailed in this article, there is no need to use WP:OFFICIAL for disambiguation (as may be the case for races at venues which hold multiple meetings per year); and an unambiguous WP:NDESC title (which there is a strong argument is also the WP:COMMONNAME) can be used in its place. • Move to Quaker State 400 (Kentucky). All of the Cup races at Kentucky were known as the Quaker State 400, so that should be the title with proper disambiguation. The article title for the second race at Atlanta should be Quaker State 400 (Atlanta) and Quaker State 400 should become a dab page. Another option would be to have the current Atlanta race at Quaker State 400 with a hatnote to the disambiguated page for the former Kentucky race. Confusion with Pennsylvania should have nothing to do with the article title. Dough4872 23:53, 8 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose the nominator fails to take into account that Quaker State is a brand of motor oil, and the primary topic of that term is the motor oil. This race is sponsored by that brand. So, it is not all that ambiguous with Pennsylvania, unless you propose to move Quaker State first to some other title. Instead use the alternate suggestion of Dough 4872, moving to Quaker State 400 (Kentucky); and creating a disambiguation page at the base name -- 67.70.26.89 (talk) 21:34, 9 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I was not aware that the "Quaker State" title was currently the title for a brand of motor oil, but that should definitely be moved to "Quaker State (motor oil)" or some other suitable title. From an international perspective "Quaker State" is a term used to refer to the state of Pennsylvania due to its long standing cultural association with the Quaker movement.
