Will review this one soon. Hog Farm Talk 03:59, 17 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

As a starter question - what makes Wynne reliable? This source is self-published. Hog Farm Talk 03:03, 18 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Wynn is well known for his work on biographical dictionaries of fighter pilots of the Battle of Britain. His book, "Men of the Battle of Britain" is a major reference work in this field and has been published three times beginning in 1989, the most recent being by Frontline Books. Much of the content from his 1981 book is repeated in the later works but in a slightly trimmed down form. Both are often cited by authors in the field, e.g. John Ray, Adam Claasen, Stephen Bungay, James Holland, Brian Cull, the 1981 book more so by NZ authors. The Battle of Britain Memorial Trust now have the rights to his work. I believe that on this basis he is a reliable source. Zawed (talk) 23:31, 18 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That seems reasonable. Hog Farm Talk 02:15, 20 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • "By the time of the invasion of the Low Countries, Tait was back on operations." - I think it would be useful to most readers to provide an approximate calendar date for this
  • "He destroyed two enemy aircraft on 25 August, a Bf 110 and Bf 109 respectively" - a bit of a nitpick, but I don't think respectively is necessary here as this all occurred on the single day
  • "Tait has no known grave" - again, a nitpick, but I think this can be ommitted since this would be expected with MIA status

No other concerns, good work here. Hog Farm Talk 02:43, 20 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
