Wrong Citation and Makes no Sense
[edit]"His new companions were also his "disciples" in the sense that they learned from Shimura. Among others, Masashi Tashiro, his first favorite "disciple", Yoko Ishino, favorite "disciple" and former bride Nobuyoshi Kuwano, who played the trumpet, and Noriko Matsumoto. At that time, Shimura created the famous character "henna ojisan", which means "strange uncle".[6]"
There's a lot of separations in the sentence which make it hard to grasp what the sentence wants to say. Is Tashiro or Ishino his first favorite disciple? Why is Kuwano his "former bride" (I watched almost all episodes of the show, but I don't get the reference at all.), etc. This should be written more clearly. Also the citation leads to an article about his death, but no mention about 志村けんのだいじょうぶだぁ, the disciples, and what that "former bride" thing could means. I'm more confused than anything else. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.14.247.176 (talk) 00:16, 23 May 2022 (UTC)
- I agree that those lines are confusing, and there were no references to help clarify. I tried to find sources but failed. I added a ref about that show, replacing the obit that didn't mention it, and removed the content about "disciples". Hopefully, a bilingual editor can find Japanese sources that discuss that aspect of his career and can add clearer content. Schazjmd (talk) 00:32, 23 May 2022 (UTC)
