Derek Jeter Collision
[edit]I've added a significant section on Huckaby's on-field collision with Jeter at the start of the 2003 season. After reviewing, Huckaby's career statistics - 161 games played, 95 hits, 3 HRs, 31 RBIs - it seems that his most noteworthy baseball moment was injuring Jeter on a rather unusual defensive play. In light of this I'm wondering whether Huckaby is actually deserving of a Wikipedia entry. With minuscule offensive numbers and the equivalent of only one season behind the plate - more than half that in the 2002 season alone - Huckaby's article reads as a long list of teams that signed him as free agent and then released him. There is simply not much to say regarding this player. Jaedglass (talk) 04:24, 25 May 2008 (UTC)
- Baseball players are inherently notable, so no reason to ever delete the article. Wizardman 00:29, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
