Columbus broadcast

[edit]

The July 5, 1992 broadcast was about speculation on a secret map possessed by Christopher columbus. This story was published in 1535 by Gonzalo Fernandez de Oviedo. The program is based on a book, "Columbus: for Gold, Glory and God," written by the British writer John Dyson.More info on the story on pages 61-62 of "Admiral of the Ocean Sea" by Samuel Eliot Morison.User talk:Italus

I have edited out the other commentary, and left the potential sources for this story. If anyone wants to research whether this story deserves to be in this article, go ahead. Please dont use the talk page for commentary about the subject.75.61.137.132 (talk) 03:40, 9 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Timeline?

[edit]

It should be noted and entered that in 1964 Morrison was a student minister for the United Church and was at Regina Beach with the church for that summer. The timeline for Morrison's career seems to be wrong and is not supported by the references (the sources for this article are terrible, BTW). He was still anchoring the local news in Saskatoon on CFQC in the late 1970s, which doesn't fit the timeline of this article. As an aside, having a whole separate section about his being parodied on SNL doesn't seem to merit a section. The article is supposed to be about KM, not Bill Hader's impressions. 96.49.243.149 (talk) 20:24, 4 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Found at least one plagiarized paragraph

[edit]

It was copied verbatim from the subject's profile on Dateline NBC's site. Note that it is explicitly copyright by NBC, and not a free source. There may be more in this article that is plagiarized. That paragraph was really obvious by the style of writing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Charlesmartin82 (talkcontribs) 14:29, 4 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
