Caps in article title

[edit]

With this recent edit, editor Rlendog renamed this article from "Keep On Chooglin' (song)" to "Keep on Chooglin' (song)", with "on" no longer capitalized. However I believe that "On" should be capitalized in this case. According to Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Titles#Capital letters, "Words that have the same form as prepositions, but are not being used specifically as prepositions" should be capitalized in composition titles, including "particles of phrasal verbs (e.g. "Give Up the Ghost", "Puttin' On the Ritz")". That would included "Keep On Chooglin'", "Keep On Keepin' On", and so on. Mudwater (Talk) 22:23, 24 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I changed it back. Rlendog (talk) 23:46, 25 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • ... that the Creedence Clearwater Revival song "Keep On Chooglin'" popularized the term "choogling'", which has been interpreted as a sexual term that songwriter John Fogerty described as what happens when "you got to ball and have a good time"? Sources: Décharné: "The word was popularised by Creedence Clearwater Revival with a track on their Bayou Country LP (1969) entitled Keep On Chooglin' (although in their case chooglin' was a slang term for sex)." Kitts: "Cook believes it refers to sex." Austin Chronicle: "According to Fogerty, chooglin' - never, ever 'choogling' - is what happens when 'you got to ball and have a good time.'

Length and history verified, as well as reference for original hook; ALT1 AGFed. Copyvio check ... I would guess that site that comes up at the top scraped its text from us (as its other pages seem to) and not the other way around. Daniel Case (talk) 02:08, 31 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
