On what body of water?

[edit]

@NortyNort: I have removed the reference to Kebar River, as no online citations nor any text visible from Google books confirms this. If you know better from offline sources, please reinstate it.

Kebar River currently redirects to Khabur River which is in Syria, not Iran. That article states that the Biblical references to Chebar River/canal may refer to Shatt el-Nil, which is near Nippur in Iraq. If there is a Kebar River in Iran then we should disambiguate it somehow. – Fayenatic London 12:37, 3 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

There are at least four books I found citing Kebar River. I searched Google Books for both "Kebar Dam river" and "Kebar Dam "Kebar River"". Snippet view which doesn't show the river but was in the search, another snippet that doesn't show the river, this book which is clear about the river but states the Romans built the dam (?)...in 1300 AD (huh?) and this book which has the river in the search but pictures appear to cover the text in the view. I am not sure why I didn't put the URLs in the references to begin with. Often, dams are named after the river they are on when a town is not close by.--NortyNort (Holla) 01:30, 4 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! I've added one of those as a citation, and reinstated mention of the river. I've redirected Kebar River to new material at Tel Abib because I think that's the subject people are most likely to want if they are searching for Kebar River. – Fayenatic London 16:54, 4 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for fixing that and bringing it up in general.--NortyNort (Holla) 20:06, 4 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Kebar Dam. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:
