@JJonahJackalope: I haven't reviewed any other nominations but this is my first nomination and I read in the instructions that QPQ was not required if you had done fewer than five nominations. Beodizia (talk) 17:59, 2 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, apologies there! In that case, the DYK should be good to go, I'll update the status accordingly. -JJonahJackalope (talk) 18:06, 2 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Not immigrant food?

[edit]

Immigrant food is often (normally?) aimed at the locals - see all the varieties of Chinese and Indian food such as American Chinese cuisine, Pakistani Chinese cuisine, Balti (food), British Chinese cuisine etc. Secretlondon (talk) 16:13, 9 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Secretlondon: Sure, but I guess the point is that it's argued to be a brand new thing invented in Sweden and it'll be difficult to find one in Turkey or Italy (though they apparently do exist). This qualification is anyway explicitly indicated as an opinion by one author - I tried to use as many sources as I could find and add the commentary in them. Beodizia (talk) 16:16, 9 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Oh sure. I think I'm arguing with the author rather than you. There may be enough academic work to write an article on this general issue, but I doubt there's any academic work on this particular food stuff. Secretlondon (talk) 16:27, 9 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
