We Need An Honest Appraisal of Falk's Career

[edit]

Unfortunately, the Kathleen Falk article reads like a campaign flyer she might have written (and I suspect that is the intent.) Falk has been a far more controversial Dane County Executive and seeker of state political office than the article suggests. The laudatory "information" is incomplete, and needs to be heavily edited and rewritten by a tough political analyst. This is all the more important since Falk has declared her candidacy for the 2012 Governor's race. Younggoldchip (talk) 15:04, 20 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, this article fundamental problems and reads like campaign literature. I'll tag it and get around to what I can, when I can. TomPointTwo (talk) 04:06, 22 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

++ What are ya gunna do though? I've known the woman casually for 22 years now and she's still as much a mystery to me as she was when I first met her as the public intervenor in 1990. Some folks around here think she's the debbil incarnate and all that's wrong with Madison and the world in general, others think she's one of the finest County Execs Dane has ever seen, and a third group couldn't identify her in a room full of vanilla bottles. I have personally refrained from making any adjustments to the page because I know her and can't trust myself to be unbiased - I actually like her - but the truth is, I don't actually know that much ABOUT her life even after 22 years. She is just one of those people who don't rock the boat much and quietly goes about getting whatever job she is doing, done. So you'll have the factual, which is a résumé of sorts, but all bios read like one to some extent - and you'll have the partisans editing and reverting, depending on their politics. It'll probably settle down after the primary if she doesn't win and it looks like she might not. IdioT.SavanT.i4 (talk) 10:31, 8 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
