Infobox image

[edit]

A close inspection of the photos posted in articles about Nitta Maru and Yawata Maru reveal that they are nearly identical; and in fact, Kasuga Maru was designed to replicate these two sister ships.

It seems like a good idea to post an image of Nitta Maru or Yawata Maru at the top of the Kasuga Maru infobox -- perhaps with a caption suggesting Kasuga class?

This arguably functions in a manner similar to those images from the Ogura Hyakunin Isshu at the top of the infoboxes in articles about Japanese emperors, e.g., compare infobox images of Emperor Tenji (626-672) and Emperor Yōzei (869-949).

This suggestion invites comment, disagreement or consensus with this editing decision. --Tenmei (talk) 20:15, 11 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Merge with Taiyo

[edit]

As this ship is the same as Japanese aircraft carrier Taiyō, they should be merged. Comments? D O N D E groovily Talk to me 23:28, 9 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Merge, just be sure to use a civilian merchant ship career infobox in addition to the military one.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 14:24, 13 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
