Two Articles?

[edit]

Am I the only person who notices that there are two seperate articles for the comic version and the film version? Why is this necessary? I seriously think they should be merged and placed into their own sections.--DarthKobold 00:03, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'd certainly support a merge. It IS the same character even though portrayed in different media. Even Blade only has one entry.--Brother William 04:16, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree

[edit]

Almost every other comic book character has an 'other media' section. Somebody should place a superherobox into the article, then start an 'Other Media' section detailing his place in the film continuity - User:sh@z@m

I as well...

[edit]

The two articles are very similar and need to be merged. - teen_astronomer09 2:54, 14 August 2006 (EDT)

I agree

[edit]

Two articles for two characters is redundant, especially since Kroenen makes such a minor appearance in the comic books.

I concur

[edit]

I propose keeping the Karl Ruprecht Kroenen page, as this is more complete entry, and is of the rightful subject's complete name. There should of course be a redirect should be for the word " Kroenen"

Spelling

[edit]

Kroenen's middle name is spelled Ruprect with no H.

Nah, being german myself I can't imagine that... the correct spelling of the name is Ruprecht, although the author might have screwed that one up.

Not In Hellboy 2?

[edit]

The character Kroenen is listed on the IMDB site for Hellboy 2 (http://imdb.com/title/tt0411477/), with the same actor playing him, so why does it say on here that he is not returning? (Unless of course it's another time when IMDB lies.) Alabasterchinchilla 23:37, 2 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I found this article at EW.COM. It was dated Nov 26th of 2006.

Will any of Mike Mignola's mythical characters from the Hellboy comic book make it into The Golden Army? —John Salinas

Yeah. We have Johann Krauss joining the BPRD. Sadly, Mike is very protective of Lobster Johnson or I would have Bruce Campbell do it in a second!!! And hopefully the studio will go for a little Kroenen cameo that I wrote!![1]

...so, it means that he might have a little appearance in Hellboy 2!!!? I hope it happens for real...i mean i really like Kroenen!! Plus, it's a shame for a villain like him to die just like that! Del Toro said himself that it was a mistake to make him die too early. Lieb3ngel 09:23, 7 February 2007 (UTC)Lieb3ngel[reply]

Kronens background/youth?

[edit]

Hello,

I searched in the comics and watched the movie but nowhere did I found some hints about Kroenens background or his youth. Please would the author of this chapter cite his references? Where did you get those "facts"? Thank you

--Kenaz9 01:21, 20 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The information is found in the special disc comic on the collectors DVD edition.

Poorly written

[edit]

This article is very poorly written. Is there another Hellboy expert out there that can write? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hoppercool (talkcontribs) 22:27, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Kroenen.png

[edit]

Image:Kroenen.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Last name's spelling

[edit]

Is his last name really spelled "Kroenen" or rather "Krönen". The letter would be more likely. To write "oe" is the common (and corect) alternative when typing on keyboards without ö on it.--BECK's 19:59, 22 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Portrayal/Actors

[edit]

It is said, that Kroenen was played by two different actors in the movie. It is said that chzech dancer/actor Ladislav Beran played Kroenen in the present time part of the Movie, while Stuntman/fight coordinator Jeff Ward played Kroenen in the Intro-Scene. He is in the cast as fight coordinator according to IMDB, but seems not oficially credited for the role. I'm not sure, i think i got this info from a HB-Merchandise-Magazine what i would consider a credible source. Maybe you could check back. Thx. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 31.16.194.36 (talk) 00:41, 9 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
