Interesting that Karl Rolvaag is suddenly back in the front-page headlines 46 years after the event. Michael Hardy (talk) 18:19, 7 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Slogan That Won The 1962 Election For Governor.

[edit]

The 1962 race for Minnesota governor was one of the closest races in the history of U.S. politics. Karl Rolvaag (D) beat incumbent governor Elmer L. Anderson (R) by just 91 votes. Before becoming Minnesota's governor, Mr. Anderson ran the St. Paul based Fuller Company, a leading manufacturer of adhesives. While there were doubtless many reasons for Mr. Rolvaag's victory, his campaign signs and Billboards featuring Mr. Anderson's photo and the slogan "Back To Glue In 62" were the talk of the State. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.93.120.50 (talk) 06:08, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
