Conflict of interest
[edit]There is pretty clear evidence that this article has been edited by the subject and/or someone affiliated with her. I have just removed a load unreferenced hype. Please do not use Wikipedia as a free web space provider or PR vehicle for Ms. Shifrin. Any further additions of unreferenced claims, and all promotional language will be removed on sight. I strongly suggest that the editor(s) in question read WP:Conflict of interest and adhere scrupulously to the guidelines there. Voceditenore (talk) 21:45, 26 June 2010 (UTC)
Serious notability and referencing issues
[edit]I have tagged this article for multiple issues. It needs copyediting to comply with the Wikipedia Manual of Style. The referencing is appalling—Facebook, multiple copies of simple concert announcements, a blog, her brief biography on Israeli Opera, etc. and I cannot find anything better either. There is nothing to verify the "awards", and no indication of their notability. As the article stands, there is nothing here to indicate the subject's own notability via significant in-depth coverage of her in independent sources nor is there any evidence provided that she passes any of the alternate criteria at WP:MUSICBIO, I have also removed the multiple link-spamming to "Rock/Opera act Diva De Lai". Please do not use Wikipedia as advertising space and please read the above post on conflict of interest. If there is no significant improvement in the referencing in one week, I am taking this to an Articles for deletion discussion. Voceditenore (talk) 11:35, 16 February 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for that. Will be fixed accordingly. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.180.1.242 (talk) 15:53, 16 February 2014 (UTC)
- So far, nothing has been "fixed accordingly". First of all you re-added a spam link to a YouTube video inline with the article's text. [1]. I have removed it again. Secondly, while the references have been formatted, they are still the same poor references, including two to Facebook. Voceditenore (talk) 07:33, 27 February 2014 (UTC)
Thank you for your notes. The video (I'm not sure why, I'd seen a lot of online video links - specifically to youtube - around a lot of articles. But I see it troubles you, so the video shall not be referenced to again. The rest of your notes are wip. Thank you ! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 5.102.230.85 (talk)
- I have re-added the video link where it belongs—in the external links section. In future, please refrain from ever linking to external sites in the text of the article per WP:EL. There has been a lot of link spamming here. An inline link to the Diva De Lai website + one in the external links; an inline link to the sales page on Amazon for their album, links not only to Diva De Lai's Official website (OK, once and the external link section only) but also their Facebook Page, Twitter, and Instagram pages, etc. etc. Incidentally, whether or not you are editing as an unregistered user or as a registered one, Wikipedia:Conflict of interest applies to you as it does to all editors here. It's quite obvious that there has been heavy participation in this article by editors with an affiliation either to the subject or Diva De Lai and rather blatant attempts to use Wikipedia to publicise their album. Voceditenore (talk) 13:26, 3 March 2014 (UTC)
Thank you for taking the time to elaborate on your dissatisfaction with previous edits of this article. External links - to Facebook, Twitter, etc., or any other Diva de Lai material will not be re-added in the future unless circumstances change. Thank you once again! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.246.133.21 (talk) 14:32, 4 March 2014 (UTC)
External links modified
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to 2 external links on Karin Shifrin. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:
- Attempted to fix sourcing for http://www.jmc.co.il/concert.asp?sid=343
- Attempted to fix sourcing for http://www.opernwerkstatt.com/index.php?id=63
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}
).
