@Simonjwoolf I've checked the source cited, an academic journal (Wasafiri) published in 2018, and it does state "Karen McCarthy Woolf was born in London in 1966 to English and Jamaican parents." (and our article was only started in 2021, so this isn't a case where Wikipedia has been used as a source in an external publication). And this source, used earlier in the page's history, identifies her as "1960s". I'm not sure that WP:BLPPRIVACY provides for us to suppress someone's year of birth when it has been published in a reliable source, as it's basic biographical information of encyclopedic relevance. Thre's nothing the matter with being born in 1966 (speaking as a child of the early 1950s myself!)
And since you're here anyway, would you/she be interested in providing a lead image for this article? If so, let me know, and I'll try to guide you through the process. We can't just take one from [1] because copyright. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 08:30, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
