- How are they different to a guji(宮司)? My dictionary also calls a guji the head priest of a shrine.
- What about other junior priests?- gon-guji, negi, gon-negi

- Shinto priests practiced Shintoyoshin-kai Jiu-Jitsu. Its meaning is the traditional "heart of willow" style (Shintoism as a religion believes in the appreciation of nature.) The willow tree would withstand the weight of the snow as it would accumulate on its branches, whereas the oak would break beneath the weight. By "going with the flow" the willow would survive.
Haven't seen anything about this on the wiki yet, hope it helps some. I am currently studying Shintoyoshin-kai Jiu-Jitsu in the United States.
Shinkan (神官)
[edit]Shinkan (神官) is also a term for "Shinto priest" according to some dictionaries, though I'm not sure if it refers to a Kannushi specifically. Not even Mr. Lister's Koromon survived intact. 19:53, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
