[edit]Kalanidhi Maran → Kalanithi Maran — "Kalanithi Maran" is how is name is spelt on film credits and on Forbes. EelamStyleZ (talk) 04:30, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
- Oppose. A google search for Kalanidhi Maran gives 141,000 results, while a search for Kalanithi Maran gives only 29,900 results. It suggests that Kalanidhi Maran is more in use in English. But, however, WP:GOOGLE cannot say whether this is acceptable for names of people. Would be good if anyone can put proper sources like an official website link (not newspaper articles or third party articles). MikeLynch (talk) 06:53, 26 August 2010 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: moved as proposed, there being objections to the proposal after the newly discovered source was presented. Mkativerata (talk) 06:57, 18 December 2010 (UTC)
Kalanidhi Maran → Kalanithi Maran — Second good faith request to change page's title. The previous requested move discussion for this page had asked for an official website (a primary source) can tell us what the correct spelling of the name would be. According to the 'About Us' section of the official website of Sun TV Network, the media company founded and owned by the individual in question, his name is spelt with a T and not with a D. This must indicate that Kalanithi is the correct spelling of his name, as stated on the primary source, and not Kalanidhi as most third-party sources spell it. On a side note, spelling of his name on third-party sources could have been influenced by the seemingly incorrect spelling on Wikipedia. EelamStyleZ (talk) 16:35, 27 November 2010 (UTC)
- Support - His own organisation should be the main source for what his names's like, not google. Munci (talk) 03:18, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

Content removal
[edit]A note for the IP hopper who continues to blank sourced information from this article - you need to explain your concerns on the talkpage as opposed to simply removing well-sourced material from an article. It's possible that your concerns could be addressed, but you need to explain why you believe the material is inappropriate. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 15:47, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
