A "new" KV65

[edit]

There seems to be a "new" KV65 - in the Western Valley of the Kings. Hawass announced the discovery of a tomb bearing this designation in 2018. It seems to be an unfinished shaft tomb that contained tools leftover from its construction. This has been reported in a couple of sources including Nile Magazine (p 8) and Egypt Today. Hawass as recently published a chapter titled "The Discovery of KV65 in the West Valley of the Kings" in Kawai, Nozomu, and Davies, Benedict G. (eds) (2022) The Star Who Appears In Thebes: Studies in Honour of Jiro Kondo; Abercromby Press, which would hopefully provide clarification, if I can get my hands on it.
