[edit]- Wikilink construction permit as I recall you usually do for stations.
- What is a classified ad feature? (I do know the first word means categorised).
- They ran ads like you'd see in a newspaper. On TV.
- Rephrase or elaborate upon "out west" for readers unfamiliar with the area/country.
- "Television Corporation of America" – corporation?
- "it became an ABC affiliate" – wikilink as first mention in the body.
- "In 1959, the sale of the station to Rube Jolley, the founder of KLAS-TV, was reported by the Las Vegas Review-Journal" – is there a reason you decided to phrase this sentence in this manner?
- Does the sentence starting "(The other two were" really need parentheses? It works as its own sentence.
- "Two gamblers were members of Clark County Communications, one of the competing applicants, thus the issue." – I may be missing something but what does thus the issue mean?
- The issue is why he resigned. A gambling regulator going up against gamblers for the license.
- Which locality is Valley View Drive in?
- Paradise, which is unincorporated. Las Vegas city limits don't go south of Desert Inn (see [1], KTNV's studios are south of Desert Inn on Valley View). However, their website and FCC public file show their mailing address as having a Las Vegas, NV, postal address, and the USPS only recognizes the city of LAS VEGAS NV for zip code 89102. A lot of Clark County is unincorporated, so city labels get kinda screwy. The city of Las Vegas doesn't even contain the Strip.
- "The (Milwaukee) Journal Company" – is (Milwaukee) needed here? Readers can click the wikilinked company to see what journal it principally published.
- "AM and FM radio stations" – wikilink.
- Where is Black Mountain (which sounds cool AF) located?
- "and lift them out of third place" sounds somewhat out of place in the way that it is phrased.
- The sentence starting "In 2021, Scripps filed to move" is related enough to the former to be a single paragraph IMO.
