The last paragraph appears to be a bit confusing, but I don't have the authority on the subject to know where to start fixing it. Amnewsboy 05:00, 18 November 2005 (UTC)
-- With a lot of NFL blackout rules, a lot of the cable tv providers in the St. Louis area (especially to the south and east of St. Louis but not so much inside of St. Louis proper) are adding this station, as KFVS is immune to the blackout rules while KMOV is subject to them. In the St. Louis area itself, you can get this signal if you live just to the south and east of the St. Louis proper if you have a very good antenna; otherwise you have to rely on satellites. Recently found this video on [YouTube that shows some of their very aggressive severe storm coverage this station is known to do. This station also has an habit of not going back to network or syndicated programming until the entire thing is passed, and the meteorologists at that station been there for many years. I like to add that New Wave Communications has added KFVS in their basic cable lineup since they took over from charter in every community in Randolph, St. Clair, and Monroe Counties, IL; and on Mediacom in Monroe and southern St. Clair Counties. It is also available in Jefferson and Ste. Genevive County, MO on another competitor to Charter, D & D communications. Kimmy78 08:03, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
This station rolled out a new set of graphics and music for their Heartland News starting in June 2008. Kimmy78 (talk) 07:59, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
The following statement doesn't quite make sense to me: "The KFVS calls, which date back to its radio counterpart, mean 'Five States' with the addition of northeastern Arkansas. However, KFVS has very little coverage in that state since the area is served by sister station and ABC affiliate KAIT." What does KAIT's coverage area have to do with people not watching KFVS? They are affiliates of different networks. I don't think people normally think in terms of "sister stations" especially when different networks are involved. If the stations are far enough apart that people either watch one or the other, i.e., no real coverage overlap, that would explain everything. Over-the-air viewers in fringe areas frequently watch whatever comes in more clearly, and before the satellite-TV era, tended to be forgiving of less-than-perfect reception. But that's not clear here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.122.119.107 (talk) 22:05, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
