Doping Controversy

[edit]

Really? Controversy? There is no controversy, she was just using different thing than the one she was said to be used earlier. NPOV in this article is doubtful, doping scandal is one of the most important things that should be mentioned in every article. For an example how to write a wiki article about a doping cheat, please see article about Johann Muhlegg. Dav - 78.133.15.92 (talk) 14:05, 10 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

this article is nearly insulting... "number of doping scandals"???? there was only one that hardly can be called 'the scandal' as even FIS officals admitted that there was nothing immoral in Kowalczyk's behaviour. She is one of the best cross country skiers in the world at the moment and what you can find out about her here on the wikipedia is that there was a doping controversy (as with most of the rest of the top cross country skiers nowadays) - very objective, yeah.

Controversy or scandal, but still, she WAS banned for doping and you can find it even on the official page of Vancouver Olympics: http://www.vancouver2010.com/olympic-news/n/news/afp-news/cross-country-skiing--kowalczyk-claims-womens-30-km-gold_295994Fq.html --Q (talk) 09:02, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah she was banned but the ban was canceled as she used that substance to cure an injured knee. And yet one third of the text talks about this "doping controversy", IMO it borders on libel.  Dr. Loosmark  09:44, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
According to "Arbitration CAS 2005/A/918 Kowalczyk v/ FIS, award of 8 December 2005", Kowalczyk disclosed and substantiated her defence that her use of Dexamethason was not intended to enhance performance. Her only error was negligence. This is not a case of normal doping. This is a case of inadvertent doping. Therefore the title "Doping Controversy" gives the wrong impression, and a better title is "Suspension in 2005" More information about the CAS decision: http://www.thefreelibrary.com/Publication+of+CAS+awards.-a0212546214 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.249.176.9 (talk) 00:55, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Not from Limanowa!

[edit]

Justyna Kowalczyk does NOT come from Limanowa. She comes from Kasina Wielka, Limanowa County, Poland. A Man from Poland (talk) 15:45, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Just because she lives in Kasina Wielka, it does not mean that she is from Kasina Wielka.--Gwiazda (talk) 19:36, 22 July 2014 (UTC) Gwiazda[reply]
