[edit]A non-executive director is what the US calls a member of the board of directors. We do not generally include these in someone's career, because for anyone even relatively prominent, this is just a routine appointment involving very little duties. It's not much of an honor, and doesn't show influence.
We also do not include a list of all the talks people have given on television or lectures or other media--this is almost never significant.
In this particular article, it seems to have been material added by the subject of the article editing under his own name to give the article the impression of having a very great number of references. That counts as promotional editing. There are several possible things to do with promotional editing: one is to remove it from the article, the second is to assume that the article as a whole is promotional and reduce it to a "stub", anc the third is to delete it. promotionalism that is unable to be fixed is an excellent reason for deletion. [edit]I have noted your comments but have added some bits back - the daughters name as this is public knowledge as per refs and is standard for all personal life sections on bios when they can be ref. Also added Sharpe ref back as this is ref. I have also tidied the bits you had missed in you deletions. The original info had been added as I have had articles that several editors had put forward for removal because there was not enough notable info.
