Justin to Grand Valley State
[edit]That’s what my sources are saying. It’s a done deal. Johndammit (talk) 23:03, 15 August 2020 (UTC)
- @Johndammit: Do you have any reliable sources to support this statement? If so, what are they? --Hammersoft (talk) 23:08, 15 August 2020 (UTC)
Yes, the wicked witch of the East told me and the three bears. Johndammit (talk) 01:56, 16 August 2020 (UTC)

For the personal section, please add that Justin Fields is vegan. Here is a source: https://www.thelantern.com/2020/10/football-justin-fields-turns-to-vegan-diet-results-in-improved-game/#:~:text=It's%20a%20new%20season%20and,an%20everyday%20thing%20for%20him. - Not done for now: Seems like superfluous info. Please clarify how this improves the article, in light of WP:VNOT. Melmann 18:01, 3 May 2021 (UTC)

[edit]Should add a newer image of him in a Bears uniform. 2600:1702:3E1:4940:C01D:9A75:EF08:CF72 (talk) 15:14, 17 June 2022 (UTC)
Rushing Record
[edit]Fields holds the regular season record for quarterback rushes with 178. Colin Kaepernick holds the all-time record with 181 yards for the 49ers against the Packers in a 2013 NFC playoff game. I will reinsert the "regular season" mention in the article. ―Buster7 ☎ 07:34, 8 November 2022 (UTC)

Years With Bears
[edit]This article states that Justin Fields was with the Bears until 2023. That's is not true. Fields played in January 2024 against the Green Bay Packers. His last game as a Bear was not in 2023, it was in 2024. The article should be updated to reflect the correct information; Fields played in 2024. Will this comment be responded to? Will the correct information be updated in the article? Hmmm. 2600:8801:131C:6F00:7C89:6F96:14BE:1F10 (talk) 05:20, 26 March 2024 (UTC)
- we go by season, not calendar year. For Fields, he played with Chicago for 3 seasons, the 2021 season through the 2023 season. HappyBoi3892 (talk) 05:51, 26 March 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for the response. Yes, I figured that is what it was based on. The problem is the NFL regular season is not held all within the same calendar. So if the article states Justin Fields played until 2023, it possibly makes the reader, who may be unaware, think he never played in 2024, and he did play in 2024. The reader would possibly leave Wikipedia misinterpreting the information they read, and that would be Wikipedia's fault, not the reader's fault, because Wikipedia could have articles written so the that people do not misconstrue anything. An NFL season is NOT played from, say, March through July of the same year. It is played from late September to January of the next year. And January of the next year is the turn of the calendar year; simply put, Fields played in 2024 for the Bears. So if Wikipedia is going to go by seasons for NFL players timeline, then the article should state, for example, the 2017-2018 season, or the 2018-2019 season, or in Justin Fields case, state his time ended with the Bears at the 2023-2024 season. The article should state something such as - Chicago Bears: 2021-2022 season to 2023-2024 season. Pittsburgh Steelers: 2024-2025 season to present. But if the article just states he played for the team 2021-2023, it makes it appear he never played in the year 2024 for the Bears, and he did. 2600:8801:131C:6F00:7C89:6F96:14BE:1F10 (talk) 09:18, 26 March 2024 (UTC)
