Conflicts in birth place sources

[edit]

There are two different sources cited for birth in Indonesia or South Korea. One is the book "K-POP A To Z" - someone will need to determine which source is correct here. Evaders99 (talk) 04:37, 12 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I had reverted the revision that changed the birth place in the Infobox from "Seoul, South Korea" to "Jakarta, Indonesia" by Mweeke as I quick search through resulted in failed verification. @Mweeke care to provide the screenshots of the book and/or the page number to such claims? Fan's point of view?

[edit]

As of my message, the bio doesn't read excessively fan-ish to me. Should we remove that tag? 104.232.119.107 (talk) 17:59, 17 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

phrase to fix on lead

[edit]

I rewrote a few things on the lead, the first phrase especially didn't respect MOS:CRIMINAL, looks better now.

There is still a phrase that needs rewording in my opinion:

In March 2019, Jung retired from the entertainment industry after admitting that he had "filmed women without their consent and shared it in a chatroom" in the Jung Joon-young KakaoTalk chatrooms, which were first revealed in the Burning Sun scandal.

The info are good, but the repetition and logical sense are weird. For a reader who is not familiar with any of this it would be confusing. If someone wants to straight it out go ahead, or I'll think about it when I have the time. Cinemaandpolitics (talk) 21:15, 25 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

done.
Now I would maybe had another small info on first sentence, to better reflect context on his activities prior to conviction. For exemple it would be important in my opinion to know if he was part of the Kpop industry. The lead of the kakaotalk chatroom page say he was, but since I didn't read much about the person myself I would prefer someone else to step in.
