Military ranking in QMWAAC and ATS

She is stated to have been a captain in the WWI WAAC and colonel in the ATS in WWII. However, these would not have been called this at the time she was respectively serving. It is not clear from the rank table in the article on the WAAC what the equivalent of captain was. The ATS rank structure did not, prior to the changeover post WWII to the Women's Royal Army Corps, use masculine titles for officer ranks. The equivalent to a full colonel would have been 'Controller'.Cloptonson (talk) 13:08, 12 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
