Notability

[edit]

I saw the new tag. I argue this article is notable since it covers also Russian Media Monitor. On her own, Davis has appeared regularly on major media channels (MSNBC, CNN, etc.) as an expert in Russia media during this war (but also before). Russian Media Monitor is also now regularly cited by news articles, as a source to some new crazy rhetoric from Russian pundits. Due to the relative prevalence of her and RMM as a source of Russian media content nowadays, I found it notable enough. Googling "Julia Davis Russia", for example, and clicking "News" will show a large amount of coverage. But I may be wrong, what do you think? @Mamushir:. --Euor (talk) 13:55, 28 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that she's notable. In addition to what you say, there are also multiple interviews/profiles of her as an individual, often mentioning her name in the title, e.g.:
  • Smart, Jason Jay (21 May 2022). "Russia's Media Machine: Interview with U.S. Expert Julia Davis". Kyiv Post. Retrieved 27 May 2022.
  • McCord, Michael (23 March 2018). ""Trump is Ours!" My interview with Russian state TV expert Julia Davis". Medium (website). Retrieved 7 July 2022.
  • "Film Producer and Founder of Russian Media Monitor Julia Davis | In the Green Room". Zócalo Public Square. 19 September 2018. Retrieved 7 July 2022.
Whether or not the article had shown notability when it was tagged, I believe it now shows notability, and will remove the tag. --Presearch (talk) 22:53, 7 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
