The result of the move request was: moved to Juanfran without leaving a redirect, as, technically, it's not a dab page. Favonian (talk) 16:24, 18 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

– Juanfran currently redirects to Juan Francisco García with a hatnote. Garcia is probably the best known Juanfran, but I hardly think this is a case of WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Consider Juan Francisco Torres, who plays for the Spain national football team. I noticed he was described only as "Juanfran" in Sky Sports' commentary on Spain v. Italy today. Pretty soon, Juanfran will be redirecting to a retired player while this guy continues to play in La Liga and for the national team. Being that "Juanfran" is just a nickname for Juan Francisco anyway, why privilege the one guy? -- BDD (talk) 23:06, 10 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support but preserve the resulting redirect. It is harmless. Disagree that this is not properly a disambiguation page, is that based on some policy or guideline? This edit which removed the hndis template and added instead Category:Given names seems to be contrary to the intention of the category, see Template:Given name: Do not use this template on disambiguation pages that contain a list of people by given names. Instead categorize the disambiguation page by including the given name parameter with the {{Disambiguation}} template, but perhaps that needs clarification.
