Not a recipient of the Nobel Prize

[edit]

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change won the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize," with Al Gore. 2007_Nobel_Peace_Prize quotes the IPCC statement "It would be correct to describe that a scientist who was involved with AR4 or earlier IPCC reports in this way: 'X contributed to the reports of the IPCC, which was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007.'" Ms Gupta is listed as a Coordinating Lead Author, with Dennis Tirpak, of "Climate Change 2007: Working Group III: Mitigation of Climate Change, Chapter 13, Policies, instruments, and co-operative arrangements" at https://archive.ipcc.ch/publications_and_data/ar4/wg3/en/ch13.html which may be what qualifies her for the above text. Nonetheless, it is highly misleading to mention she is the recipient of the Nobel Prize. It was granted to an Institute, not an individual, irrespective of their contribution. Please change! 99.146.240.96 (talk) 04:03, 21 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
