This issue is rather interesting. "Joseph Hamilton Daveiss" -wikipedia retrieves 1540 hits; "Joseph Hamilton Daveiss" -wikipedia retrieves 2610 hits. Although Daveiss ~1000 more hits, Daviess has a solid number itself. It would be interesting to look into this further. Kingturtle (talk) 21:38, 31 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

more work needed

I revised this article and added a couple of references until my ancestry.com link, sketchy today, just went down after I got a scam text message from an outofstate area code. Finadgrave plagarized from the Appleton's link, but did not show links to his wife, parents nor children. According to the census cited, Daviess had at least two children, and probably a son of the same name was a slaveowner in Owensboro, Kentucky in 1850.Jweaver28 (talk) 14:33, 18 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
