People have said for years that his mom bought his "button" for $50,000. And then other people this isn't true. Is this true or not? And shouldn't something be put in the article/bio - at least something along the lines of "rumor/gossip over the years was that d'Amico's membership in the mafia was bought by his mother", etc.? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.143.159.186 (talk) 09:53, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Now that I think about it, Joseph Pistone (a/k/a "Donnie Brasco") has said in print that Joey D'Amico's mom paid $50,000 for him to get in, and that's how he got in at such a young age (25, as I recall). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.143.159.186 (talk) 07:20, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Most external articles cite the car that Anthony Mirra was murdered in as a burgundy Mercedes. A Mafioso hitman in a silver Volvo brings a smile to the face though. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.47.71.13 (talk) 15:29, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
