Translation of charro
[edit]When mentioned the translation of "El charro cantor" is translated to "The singing cowboy"
While the job role of a charro is similar to the cowboy, I think the relation the translation could bring to confusion as long as the american cowboy is completely different to the Mexican charro. I would suggest to input Charro, instead. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Travsam (talk • contribs) 17:29, 29 April 2019 (UTC)

[edit]The changes I made on Sept 17th 2006 were basically to correct a very literal translation of fact and movie titles into a more colloquially correct form. Then I did some additional research on some of the facts I remembered, and added them, along with a link to Rita Lynn Wilson's page on Jorge Negrete. Compared to Pedro Infante
[edit]Negrete, according to the press of his time, was much more famous than Infante, in fact Jorge Negrete signed with RCA records and Pedro Infante only recorded for a small brand, which later would make him more famous than he actually was at his time and transform him in to a legend, Peerless Records became the owner of Infantes rights and royalties because Pedro died with out a testament.--Piramide 15:34, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
- Negrete is still more famous and succesfull in other hispanic countries like Spain, Argentina, Cuba, Chile, Uruguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, than Pedro Infante.
