I do not believe that source meets reliability criteria. I have modified the lead per the LA Times article. Ajax F¡oretalk23:46, 20 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
@Ajaxfiore: Please point out where that exact term is used. The LA Times article refers to the group, not the subject. If the book in Spanish includes it, please provide the page number (and/or the exact term in Spanish). §FreeRangeFrogcroak23:58, 6 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@FreeRangeFrog: The page number is included in the reference in the article, where anthropologist Navarro says the ICM is an "agrupación antisectaria" whose founder and leader is Jorge Erdely. A founder and leader of an anti-cult group is not an anti-cult activist? You replaced the term "anti-cult activist" with "human rights activist" even though the exact term is not used in any of the sources cited. Ajaxfiore (talk) 02:14, 7 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The closest thing I could find was from Proceso which says Erdely. "has combined the academic aspect with the defense of human rights". The article merely echos Erdely's outrageous claim that 30% of priests in Mexico (that is 4200) are guilty of sexual abuse. This number comes from his own calculations. He also mentions a survey carried out in Spain which I have been unable to find. The article also claims Erdely has PhD in Theology from Oxford, although all other sources say his degree is from Newport University. The article also says the ICM is composed of a group of academics of various backgrounds, although as shown in this talk page before it was cleared, they're all medical doctors. No, we should not, that's the same material I and other people have had to redact from your edits because they border on libel. You seem to have a serious conflict of interest here, judging from your edits in the Spanish Wikipedia as well. However, the "anti-cult" thing is gone, so that's good enough. I would highly recommend you declare your COI and stay away from this and other related articles. §FreeRangeFrogcroak20:07, 17 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
